  • Ground Floor Shower Room

Shower room upgraded/modernised. Part of a renovation

    Before

    After

    • Complete upgrade to the shower room.
    • All new suite complete with:
    • New electric shower, shower tray & corner quadrant cubicle.
    • Tiling in & around the shower
    • New toilet & top mounted sink with mixer tap.
    • New cabinets & worktop.
    • New vinyl flooring.
    • The radiator relocated & changed to towel radiator.
    • Underneath the stairs was opened up for use a utility space for washing machine & dryer.
  • En-Suite Bathroom

A bespoke ensuite bathroom created with large built-in bathtub. Plumbing, framework, tiling, w/c all installed.

Waterproof laminate flooring specifically designed for “wet areas” fitted.

  • Bedroom

Stiple paint from ceiling scrapped off, sanded & painted.

    Wall paper removed.

Additional plug sockets chased & wired into the main wall to provide power to both sides of the bed.

Woodwork cleaned & painted, including doors, skirting & window sill.

All walls wall papered, with feature wall paper by the bed.

Single pendant lamp replaced with a new light fitting with LED bulbs for the modern look & to provide better illumination.

Old wardrobes & bedside tables replaced by new IKEA units. These were built & fitted in sutu.

Curtain pole replaced with modern recessed blackout blind.

Customer budget did not allow for carpet replacement, so the floor covering where the old wardrobes stood has been replaced with laminate flooring with chrome joining strip to match in with the colour scheme & mirrored doors.

  • Fencing

A new boundary fence installed onto an existing block paved driveway using steel anchors supports for the posts and an alternative to using fence panels along a sloped driveway.

Stainless steel wire fencing down the sloped driveway.

This creates a boundary, whilst being very low maintenance & avoids damage from high winds & bad weather.

Steel anchor posts concreted in place. This avoids timber post being buried & aids easy replacement I nthe future as the posts are bolted with galvanised bolts into the anchor bracket.

    Blocks cut to refit.

  • Decking

New Deck created complete with frame & timber top decking.

Protected with a light cedar decking oil if required.

Raised planters & bench seat with storage below hinged seat complete with privacy trellis behind

Planters & seat protected with a light cedar decking oil. Trellis with a green stain.

  • Bespoke Shed Build

Bespoke shed constructed to suit a narrow section of garden.

The customer wanted more storage, but could not find the right shed to suit them & the space.

This shed sits against the adjacent hedge so access was not possible to maintain it with future wood treatments.

This shed was constructed & wrapped with roofing grade felt.

The felt was bonded to the panels with bitumen adhesive.

The base of the frame was constructed from 6” x 2” (150 x 50mm)  timbers & coated for protection.

The frame was levelled on top of concrete blocks.

The construction of the shed is modular, which allows for this shed to be easily dismantled at a later date if required.

  • Shower Install

    New electrical shower fitted.

    This replaces a broken shower.

  • Lighting Upgrades

    Examples of new lighting installed.

Swapping out the old pendant lamp holder with a new stylish multi-drop light fitting in black.

    5 LED bulb fitted.

This light instantly gives the room a modern feel.

Customer wanted it in this circular arrangement, but this light could easily be mounted in a more linear configuration to suit a more narrow & longer room.

So much nicer, providing a better distribution of light & saving on energy too.

  • Lighting Extended & New Light Fittings

New lighting installed to replace the central single pendant light.

This entailed lifting the bedroom carpet & floorboards & drilling the joists.

The wiring circuit was re-routed to the new location of the first light & additional wiring to extend the circuit to the second light.

Both lights are LED & provide 2 levels of light by operating the switch twice in succession.

The original light location was repaired by an invisible repair & the stiple paint effect added to blend the repair.

Finally a coat of paint to finish

  • Broken Light Switch Replaced

A minor electrical job completed for an elder lady.

A broken light switch replacement revealed the condition shown inside the recessed metal box.

To replace the recessed box would have caused all the very loose surrounding plaster to fall off the wall due to the age and condition of the property.

The debris was cleaned out and the switch converted to surface mount, creating clean separation for the wires and the new switch was fitted.

Minimal disruption and expense for one happy lady.
